While we may be new, Crosscourt Ministry has been in the making for years, evolving from our Sunlight Church Saint Lucie West campus and Sunlight Christian Academy. Our mission is to cultivate children’s growth, not just in sports, but also through Christ. Welcome to a league where a passion for sports intersects with spiritual growth!
Sunlight Community Church began first as a church plant in Port St. Lucie in the mid 80s. The church purchased property in the St Lucie West area in the 90s after operating out of rented buildings such as shopping plazas and schools. Finally in the spring of 1995, Sunlight opened its doors to its first building!
Through years of change, our church campus stands as a testament to growth and divine blessings. Today, our Saint Lucie West Campus serves as our inaugural and largest location, and it accommodates an average attendance of 400 individuals. Blessed by God’s grace, the campus features a 700 seat sanctuary, indoor gym/fellowship hall, and numerous meeting spaces.
Sunlight Christian Academy is a ministry of Sunlight Community Church. Back in 2004, two unwelcome guests, Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne, made landfall in Port St. Lucie. Many homes and businesses in our community were damaged, including a local secular preschool. Fortunately our church building was in good condition, so we offered to house the small preschool until their building was repaired. We believe this was God’s way of showing us we had the potential to open up our very own Christ-centered preschool in St. Lucie West.
We opened our doors in January 2006, with only 8 students. We have been blessed beyond measure with children and families seeking a high-quality spiritual and academic education. Today, we have three Pre-K locations in St. Lucie West, Lake Worth, and Winter Garden. We also have our Upper School campus at PGA Village. Today, we serve over 800 students from preschool through eighth grade.
Our goal is to foster a loving, athletic, Christ-centered Community where everyone can have fun.
Crosscourt Ministry is a community where faith and sports intersect. While we’re newer, our vision is steadfast: to foster growth not only in athleticism but also in faith. With each game and practice, we’re building not just a team, but a family bound by a shared belief in Christ. Through time, trust, and the lessons we learn on the court, Crosscourt Ministry will continue to expand and impact lives profoundly.
